What Sundays Are Like
New Times: 1st Service: 9:30am 2nd Service: 11:00am Location: 5041 Griffin Rd. Brooksville, FL 34601 |
What to Expect:
1. There will be plenty of parking. You will enter the church from Griffin Road and there will be spots available whether you get there early or late.
2. You can dress comfortably. People will be dressed however they feel most comfortable. Some dress up, many dress casually. We care more about you than what you wear.
3. You will be greeted with a smile. We call ourselves a family. So when you come you will be treated as such. We will also have coffee and snacks available before the service in our Fellowship Hall.
4. There will be a place for your children. Children under 5 are invited to check directly into our young childcare room before service. Ages 6 through 5th grade are invited to attend the first portion of the service with their parents then will be dismissed before the message so they can learn God’s Word with kids their own age.
5. We will sing, pray, and study God’s Word together. When the service starts, we will be led by a praise band in singing both uplifting hymns of the faith and modern songs with words projected on the front walls so you don’t feel left out. We will pray together, and we will have a time of teaching from God’s Word from one of the pastors about how God’s message relates to us today.
6. We will be done in about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Staff:
Lead Pastor: Dr. Joel HastingsFamily: My wife Bethany and I have been married since 2012. We have three boys 6 and under (pray for us!): Josh, Micah, and Levi.
Passion: I am passionate about teaching God’s Word. I love everything from researching, to writing, to presenting the truths of God’s Word. Hobbies: I love hanging out with Bethany above everything. Besides that, I enjoy reading non-fiction. If it’s fiction, I’d rather watch the movie. I enjoy watching my favorite sports teams. I still hang on to my Oklahoma teams and Dallas Cowboys. I am slowly learning to root for the local teams! Life Verse: Acts 20:24 “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.“ |
Associate Pastor: Dr. Tom MarshallFamily: Beth and I have been married since 1964. We have two daughters, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Passion: I am passionate about the Word of God: studying it, sharing it, and teaching its truths. Hobbies: I enjoy reading, especially historical novels and history non-fiction. Also, I like classical music, folk music, and Christian music, especially the old hymns and praise choruses. I like watching college sports; UK basketball is a lifelong favorite. Life verse: Phil 3: 13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do: forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God In Christ Jesus.” |
Worship Director: Joel Brown.Family: My wife Laura and I have been married since 2011. We have 3 daughters and our youngest is a boy (pray for him!): Letta, Remi, Tessa, and Jude
Passion: I am passionate about beautiful music that glorifies our triune God. Music has been my life since I was 5 years old (thanks Mom and Dad!). Hobbies: Laura and I love the water and camping. Catch us outside. How 'bout dat. I love music and sports... a lot! You also might catch me smoking meat on the weekends. Life Verse: Psalms 15:1-2 "O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart." |
Executive Pastor and Youth director: Devin QuesenberryFamily: My beautiful bride Sarah and I met in 2010, married in 2012, and somehow she still hasn't grown tired of me. We have 3 good-looking and determined kids named Norah, Asher, and Theodore.

Children's Director: Denise HopkinsFamily: My husband Gary and I have been married for over 20 years and we are excited for many more years of adventure together. Our family moved from a Colorado farm to the Sunshine state in 2021. Our adult son RJ knew he would miss his super cool parents so much that he made the move too. He may say there were other reasons, but we don't believe him ;)
Passion: I never want someone to feel alone or not welcome. I use every chance I cab to remind others how special and valuable they really are! Loving people is my passion.
