The Vision

Over the next 10 years Hernando County is expected to grow by over 100,000 people, which means that there will be many people who need to hear the good news of the gospel and to be discipled. It would be impossible for all of these people to fit in our current building, or even a building 4 times our current size. So:

We believe that the Lord is leading us to use Griffin Road as a launch-pad for church planting, starting in Hernando County, then moving out from there.

To make this possible we are planning to build a larger facility to accommodate our local congregation and enough extra space to train up church planting teams that will be sent out to plant independent churches all through our community.

The Plan

Our dedicated Building Team consisting of select deacons, elders, and church members has been meeting since the Fall of 2021 seeking the Lord's direction. Here is our current plan:

1. Build a New Lobby and Sanctuary
   (Estimated cost to build*: $3.2M) - Construction is complete!

2. Reorganize the existing building into a dedicated space for Children's ministry (Infants - 5th grade)
   ​(Estimated cost: $200k) - We are decorating!
   
   
3. Build an additional building for Youth (6th-12th grade) & other ministry activities 
   ​(Estimated cost to build*: $800K) - We are furnishing!

Get Involved

PRAY. We know that this is a big step for our church and that we need wisdom from the Lord in all areas. Please pray for our leadership team, our builder, and pray that the Lord reveals to you your part in this work.

SERVE. The church is not a building, it's a body. It's also not an organization but a family unified under one person: Jesus! This means simply that we all have a way to be involved in building the church (people) and even this church expansion (building).
