We are growing in many ways and currently seeking staff to employ:

Faithful Shepherding Pastor

Community Bible Church is a nondenominational church with a vibrant loving fellowship. It has a rich history of influence in teaching the word of God and connecting with other ministries and mission opportunities locally and globally. Our church is now seeing a spectrum of ages and diversity of cultural backgrounds.  The unity and charity present are based on devotion to Christ and commitment to biblical orthodoxy.

We are confident that God can provide a leader possessing strong faith in God demonstrated by vision and passion.  The candidate must meet the qualifications specified in God’s Word in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:7, and 1 Peter 5:2-4.  This leader will should have a strong desire to develop the congregation in efforts and strategies to reach young adults and families.  This church family anticipates further growth and renewal.  Our location is poised for growth with new homes and development with the current expansion of Interstate 75 in west Hernando County.

A biblical orthodoxy with clear consent and agreement with our church doctrinal statement and constitution is essential. The pastor should have spiritual gifts to shepherd with skill. We desire this leader to relate (be relevant) and to communicate to young and old alike but not to compromise doctrine for the sake of audience.  The church needs to grow, but we favor growing organically solid than just rapidly shallow.

The character of the candidate must be beyond reproach while maintaining an honest humility. Our next pastor will have also shown diligence in studies and will have completed education at a recognized evangelical college or seminary.  This shepherd will likely have other spiritual gifts and/or talents enabling the leadership skills to adequately accomplish the requirements of the position.  Jesus Christ modeled a bold yet servant style of leadership and that is the expected pattern for this fellowship.  Because of external ministry to the community, confirmation of ordination is additionally important. Here is what is essential:

  • Ability to preach and teach the Word of God accurately with strong faith and boldness
  • Character that sets an example for the church to follow and a marriage that is strong
  • Wisdom to lead creatively in these times of a crazy culture and the distractions of American life
